Marnita A. L. Bynum
was born on March 11,1964 in Galesburg, Illinois. She moved to North Carolina after being accepted into St. Augustine College where she met her husband Melvin L. Bynum. She was the mother of two boys, Marquail and Brock Bynum and one adopted son, Robert Ortega, Jr..
 
Marnita Bynum was the 1st Lady of Cry Out Loud Ministry For Christ. She worked side by side with her husband, Pastor Melvin Bynum from the beginning to the end. She loved the members of Cry Out Loud. She spearheaded UNITY which is still the name of COLM youth department. She was also the president of the gospel and she flowed heavily in the parabolic anointing. She loved God's people and left a great impression with anyone she came in contact with. 1st Lady Bynum was definitely a mentor, not just to women, but to young girls also.
 
She was preceded in death by Evonne Shannon, Earl Miller, all of her grandparents and two godchildren-Sierra Silvers and Antonio Clark.
